THE CHALLENGE...about the campaign
The difference between "is" and "should be" is measured by acceptance. We can do better, be better; our beliefs inspire greatness. We need believers to help us create change.
For the past 21 years, the Center for AIDS Research, Education and Services (CARES) has worked tirelessly to serve and educate those infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. We've seen the commitment, care and unlimited potential of this region's people and know what we're capable of if we work together. For these reasons, CARES is partnering with the greater Sacramento region's community leaders and biggest dreamers to do the unthinkable.
In celebration of CARES's 20th Anniversary and our true belief in Sacramento's abilities, we're making a bold resolution, the first of its kind in the nation:
We are striving for no new cases of HIV diagnosed in Sacramento in five years.
The destruction caused by this epidemic must end. The first step to beating AIDS is stopping new HIV infections. We can't do it alone, join our campaign and make a remarkable difference in the community! |
